Truck IRS – Independent Rear Suspension kit

The image below shows the adapters ( in white ) mounted to a 1990s era Thunderbird subframe.

These 4 adapters are welded to your truck’s frame. The Thunderbird subframe is then bolted to the mounts. Mercury Cougar and Lincoln Mark VIII IRS subframes work as well. The installation will take approximately 2 hours (not counting the time to strip your existing frame from the original suspension) and requires welding.

Step 1… Remove your truck’s old rear suspension

Step 2… weld in the provided mounting brackets to your truck’s frame and bolt in the IRS subframe

Step 3… Place the bed back onto the truck’s frame and you’re done
