What vehicles does the Narrow CV fit? – I would like a set of brackets for my car or truck, but it’s not on your list. How can I order a Narrow CV crossmember for my vehicle?
Team321 has narrow CV crossmembers for 1948-52 and 1953-79 Ford trucks. We have also supplied Narrow CV crossmembers for Dodge and Chevy Trucks, Buick Cars and a variety of custom applications. email dave@team321.com or Call (321)960-5945 with your specifications and we can discuss options. Quite often one of our standard products fits your needs… otherwise we can modify our standard designs to fit your needs. Typical charge for a custom design is $250 upcharge to the $1495 cost. What year Crown Vic components do I need to work with the Narrow CV front crossmember?
The narrow CV crossmember is designed to mount 2003 – 2011 Crown Victoria suspension components.
What is the track width of the Narrow CV front suspension?
The track width is just over 62″ as measure from hub / hub. This is almost 5″ narrower than the factory crossmember – allowing for a wider selection of wheel choices.
What size wheels work with the Narrow CV crossmember?
A minimum of 16″ wheels are required… and the standard 5 on 4 1/2″ (114.3mm) bolt pattern is used.
Why can’t I use the factory steering rack and sway bar with the Narrow CV crossmember?
Since the track width is narrowed, the factory steering rack and sway bar would be too wide.
What is the cost of a complete front suspension?
Complete suspension (minus calipers, rotors and wheel bearings) is $3095. Typical shipping cost of a complete front suspension runs about $350 in the US. Call (321)960-5945 or email dave@team321.com for details.
Why don’t you supply the brakes / bearings with the complete front suspension?
The brakes and bearings are very heavy to ship and are available at all local auto parts stores. These can be purchased locally – saving you $$$ and shipping cost.
What is the bolt pattern of the Crown Vic hubs?
5 on 4.5″ (5 on 114.3mm) bolt pattern. I have looked for other bearings with 6 lug hubs, but could not locate any. 5 on 4.5″ is the most popular bolt pattern – allowing for plenty of wheel options.
How long should the installation take?
The total install time will vary with the experience / expertise of whoever is doing the job… The vast majority of the time will be spent removing the factory crossmember… prior to welding the adapters to the frame.
What about motor mounts?
Team321 offers motor mounts for Small Block Ford – (289, 302, 351C 351W) Ford Mod motor 4.6L and Coyote Engines, Small Block Chevy and Chevy LS engines. These are available for an additional $250
What spring rate should I purchase for the front coilover springs?
10″ long x 2.5″ springs are recommended with a spring rate ranging from 400# to 700# depending on engine choice.
What about air springs / air bags?
Team321 has successfully fit Ride Tech Shockwaves – but not separate airbags / shocks. Using shockwaves is simple provide you purchase the correct model and accessories. Here is the breakdown of required components:
- Shockwave 1000 Series – p/n 21140101 with a 4.1″ stroke
- 1″ extended eye p/n 9000 2075
- Upper shockwave spacer bushing (4 required) p/n 9000 2043
