Airbag pedestals for TruckIRS kits

This page shows general instructions for installing airsprings with the truckIRS brackets. The rear mounts are already tack welded in place.

Be sure to view the truckIRS installation sequence first before reading any further.

This airspring installation sequence below assumes you have an understanding of installing the truckIRS brackets

I’ve tried a variety of approaches to install the air springs, and the easiest approach is to remove the bolt connecting the upper control arm to the spindle.

Assemble the airspring and airspring pedestal mounting base (available from Team321 for $175 / pair) and install the assembly into the lower control arm bucket.
(you will need to remove the 3/8″ bolts from the top of the airbag).

With the airbag assembly in place, you will notice the three holes in the base of the airbag pedestal.

Moving over the passenger’s side… notice the three holes in the lower control arm.
I marked these holes with a black sharpie, removed the airspring assembly, drilled 3 holes in the lower control arm bucket…

re-installed the airspring assembly and installed the 3/8″ bolts to hold the base to the lower control arm. Only 2 of the three 3/8″ bolts are visible.
A tire valve is used to fill / remove air from the air spring. You can run air lines, compressor, etc… or take the simple approach of using a tire valve.

These airbag pedestal mounts are specifically designed around AirLift Performance 2500 airbags. Click this link for pricing and specs:

I am not supplying the airbags, just the mounts. I am recommending Thorbros.com since they have been very helpful to me in the past and they provide quality parts and service.
You will need some coarse thread 3/8″ bolts and washers as well as valves and possibly tubing for mounting the airbags.
The lower plate of the airbag mount has 3 holes in it. These holes are 3/8″ diameter and the intent is to allow customers to drill holes in their lower control arms to secure the airbag mount. These additional 3/8″ bolts will help keep the mount positioned in the lower control arm.
I’m open to any questions you may have.
Airspring pedestal mounts are $175 per pair. They are raw steel. There is a 3/8″ coarse stud protruding through the top to mount the airbag. I mention this since the photos may not adequately show how everything is mounted together.

Here are a couple more images of the airspring pedestal base (pedestal base is shown painted black)… sorry, not a good contrast with the black air spring.
